“Being awarded the Sidney Williams Scholarship was a game-changer for my journey in patent law. Beyond the financial support, having Bill LaFuze as a mentor was transformative. His vast knowledge, paired with his unyielding availability and support, consistently guided me through the intricacies of the legal world. Every career milestone I've reached has Sidney Williams Program’s influence etched into it, and for that, I am deeply grateful.” -Sara Serag 2020 Scholar, Associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati

“I applied to law school as an older candidate. While I was certain about wanting to practice law as a patent attorney, I was not so confident about leaving my job to become a full-time student again. Having been selected as a Sidney B. Williams, Jr Scholar by the Foundation gave me the confidence I needed to make my decision and transition from a 9-to-5 job to full-time law student.” -Alvaro Cure Dominguez 2019 Scholar, Nixon Peabody, FADIPL Trustee
