So much about filmmaking goes beyond fame or fortune. It gets down the essence of mankind's existence. Our ability to tell stories. Our need to share experiences and what-ifs with ourselves and the generations who follow. Film is much like the caves of Southern France, the printing presses of the Renaissance and the Folklore Project of the Great Depression. It's a tool designed to increase our reach as we do what comes instinctively. No matter our circumstance, no matter our culture, no matter our station in life, we fall back on storytelling to bring sense, enjoyment and understanding to our world.
We've launched an IndieGoGo campaign to ensure the story we want to tell is produced in a manner that reveres the audience. On the surface it's simple to tell a story. But to reach the essence of the audience, we must touch the soul of the audience. Evoke emotion. Place the audience in a world of their choosing. Provide an opportunity to explore worlds that remain just out of reach. We believe WHAT ABOUT PARIS? - a tale about an old man choosing to spend time in the recollection of a lost love - is one of those stories.
Every dollar spent enhances our ability to share this story. Enhances the quality of the story we intend to tell. And with the resources of an IndieGoGo campaign, we can ensure the bodies and equipment required to tell a good story are compensated and accounted for in the process. Yes, creative types have been known to contribute their time and talent for good coffee and a danish but we want to ensure they walk away with more than satisfaction of an art form well executed. We want to execute the basic economic premise of pay to play. Provide a measure of compensation to show our appreciation for their contributions. Collaborators using their talents and contributing their dreams to a tale that touches us all.
