PM Orbán holds talks with prime minister of Georgia

Discussions included the possible role of Georgia in the development of an energy corridor linking the Caucasus region with Europe.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held talks with Irakli Kobakhidze, the prime minister of Georgia, in his office in Budapest on Thursday. The talks focused on possibilities of deepening bilateral political ties and the progress of Georgia’s EU integration process, with special regard to ways Hungary could help advance the process during its rotational presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of this year. The sides also discussed the possible role of Georgia in the development of an energy corridor linking the Caucasus region with Europe.
