At the previous CES (Consumer Electronic Show) tech events, Infinix showcased a couple of innovative charging technologies, from 180W Thunder Charge Technology to the revolutionary 260W All-Round FastCharge. The brand has now confirmed that it will unveil its AirCharge wireless charging and Extreme-Temp Battery technologies at the upcoming CES 2024 event.
Infinix’s AirCharge wireless charging technology
According to Infinix, AirCharge is a breakthrough in wireless charging, allowing users to charge devices without cables or physical contact with the charging pad. The technology supports charging at 0-20cm and works when coils are tilted at an angle of up to 60 degrees. Compared to traditional wired charging, AirCharge allows users to charge devices effortlessly during activities like gaming or watching videos.
When it comes to the safety of the users, Infinix AirCharge functions at a secure low frequency below 6.78MHz, providing consistent charging power of up to 7.5W. The system incorporates a comprehensive resonance and overvoltage protection (OVP) circuit, ensuring effective protection for the circuitry. This safeguards the charging process, guaranteeing safety even in situations where there are rapid changes in distance and position between the phone and the charging pad.
To address the challenge of smartphone performance in extremely cold environments, Infinix introduces the Extreme-Temp Battery technology. Developed with biomimetic electrolyte and fusion solid-state technology, this breakthrough allows the battery to function well at temperatures as low as -40°C. With a charging temperature range of -40°C to 60°C, the Extreme-Temp Battery ensures functionality and endurance in harsh cold conditions.
Some of these technologies could likely be seen on the upcoming Infinix smartphones that are expected to launch in 2024. Hopefully, the company will shed more details on it through the CES 2024 event. For those who don’t know, the tech exhibition will be held between Jan. 9 and Jan. 12 in Las Vegas, US.
