I moved my Google channel and lost my subscribers, so I am reposting several episodes to help rebuild the channel. Importantly, the biology discussion is only the first half of the video and is about 30 minutes or so . . . . https://jonathanmclatchie.com/ https://talkaboutdoubts.com/ On this episode of The Bible Professor, Dr. Jonathan McLatchie, biology professor and PHD in evolutionary biology explains how we can see evidence of the Designer at the molecular level. McLatchie’s primary illustration is the karyotic cell cycle. Additionally, Dr. McLatchie discusses related scientific evidence by referring to irreducible complexity, the DNA strand, the non-random element within natural selection, the probability argument that the cell and its machinations are best viewed from the hands of a designer instead from Darwinian evolution (which does not offer an acceptable explanation for the initial arrival of any species). McLatchie’s argument is that design is more probable, and theism has more explanatory power than atheism when it comes to this branch of science. Finally, the last half of the episode deals with biblical apologetics, primarily the resurrection of Jesus and the historical reliability of the New Testament. The science part of the episode goes only for about the first 30 minutes. The Bible Professor podcast aims to bring biblical literacy to the podcasting world and to the ends of the earth. We do this by teaching the Bible, defending biblical Christianity, and discussing the Bible's relevance to culture.
