Will there be more synthetic pitches at NTRA?
No. The NSFA is collaborating
with other sports and Council to undertake
natural grass returfs of NTRA fields #2 & #3.
FAQs
Will NSFA have exclusive access?
No. Council will own the building, which will be built on unused land.
The NSFA intends to lease the building. Community access to the
NTRA site will not be changing.
Will usage by Football increase?
No. Ground usage of the NTRA fields
will remain the same and is currently at
capacity for the hours available to football.
Why are design changes being made to the project?
The NSFA has submitted design changes in response
to community feedback which enhance aesthetics, improve
accessibility and safety, increase visitor comfort and reduce noise.
Will community access to the NTRA site decrease?
No. Some increase in usage is anticipated in off-peak
hours from school children, all-abilities participants
and local residents using the community room
and cafeteria.
Will the facility increase noise or risk from fire for residents?
No. The NSFA has agreed not to use a PA system during matches and
it’s members will not be at the NTRA site when there is a risk of fire.
A Fire Evacuation Plan has been prepared as required by the DA.
