All-New Masking Experience

On-Canvas Mask Controls
• Whenever you select or create a new mask, access all mask editing and refining features directly at the bottom of the canvas.
• Quickly perform basic mask editing tasks, such as inverting, copying, pasting, or adding new masks, or use advanced features to refine mask opacity, density, or edge softness.
• The on-canvas controls seamlessly switch between bitmap and vector mask editing modes, allowing you to paint on bitmap masks with brushes and quickly access the Shapes browser to swap between different vector shapes.

AI Background Masking

Fixes in Pixelmator Pro 3.6.1
• Saving HEIC images at 100% quality or using Add to Photos would not work on Mac devices with Intel chips running macOS 14.5. Fixed.

Einfacher als InDesign

Arbeite seit nun mehr als 10 Jahren mit dem Pixelmator. Komprimiert gut die wichtigsten Tools von InDesign. Habe schon ganze Brochuren und Dokumentationen, wie auch Booklet damit erstellt.
Preis–Leistungs–Verhältnis stimmt total.
Einziger Nachteil sind die grossen Dateien, welche dabei erzeugt werden. Guter Rechner ist als zu empfehlen.

Great for everything except vector graphics

Pixelmator Pro improves on everything from the original Pixelmator and adds a bunch of new features on top. Unfortunately, while files can now be exported as SVG files, the vector graphics support is still nowhere near where I was hoping. I understand that Pixelmator specific elements cannot be exported to an SVG file, but line ending styles and drop shadows just disappear when exporting or importing SVG.

I will give Pixelmator Pro 5 stars when and if the SVG support improves to an acceptable level.

iPad

Yes it is possible to open photos from the Apple Photos App BUT the iPad version is 1000 times better soulution. I bought Pixelmatoer Pro because I thought it is the same like on the iPad- I mean to open Photos & work on them.
So I would not recomend Pixelmator pro on Mac & because of that also not on iPad (where it is a good solution).

Hi there, you can edit images in your Photos library directly in Photos using the Pixelmator Pro extension, you can share images from Photos to Pixelmator Pro by choosing Image > Edit With > Pixelmator Pro. Inside the Pixelmator Pro app, you can choose File > New from Photos to browse your Photos library. EDIT: It's certainly possible to just edit a photo without creating a Pixelmator Pro document. If you'd like to stop importing images as Pixelmator Pro documents, you can choose Pixelmator Pro > Preferences (from the Pixelmator Pro menu at the top of your screen) and in the General category, deselect "Import JPEG, PNG, and TIFF images".
