Fire prevention day offered to residents in Xàbia’s forest areas

It will offer advice and recommendations on how to prevent the risk of forest fire, react appropriately, and protect yourself in case of danger.

The Valencian Emergency Agency has scheduled an informative day on fire prevention next Wednesday 28th July at 11.00am, a workshop aimed at residents who live close to forest areas.

The fire prevention workshop “Stop al Foc” will be hosted at the ISVH Balcón al Mar headquarters in Calle George Frederic Händel, although it will be open to all interested people, whether they be residents of the Cap de la Nau zone or living in other parts of the municipality.

The workshop seek to promote prevention and self-protection of the inhabitants of the urban-forest interface (IUF), that is those who live in bordering area or those that are within the natural environment, mainly residential complexes with a high risk of forest fire.

It will offer advice and recommendations on how to prevent the risk of forest fire, react appropriately, and protect yourself in case of danger. Informative brochures will also be distributed with guidelines in relation to housing, maintaining the plots, and caring for the environment. There will also be activities for the little ones in order to raise awareness among the younger members of the community.
