Elementary Winter Concerts

Because of our continued focus to keep students and staff safe during COVID-19, Elementary Winter Concerts were not held in-person. We put together a unique plan where we can showcase the hard work of our music department and students can still perform, but friends and family will experience the concerts in a new way - virtually!

Elementary Music Teachers, with our high school Sound Engineering students, created recorded performances to showcase the work of our elementary students in band, orchestra, chorus, prelude strings, and general music.

Video performances can be found on our website. We will continue to update this page as recordings are completed. Enjoy!

Sense of Belonging

We strive to create learning spaces where students take the lead and have opportunities to practice their communication, problem-solving skills, and academic content; in addition to working hard everyday for an adult that cares about them as a learner, and more importantly as a person.

Here is a short video showing a piece of our community that we are very proud of: our commitment to making sure all students know they belong with us.

WAWM RCS Non-School Day Camps

Are you looking for something for your child to do on the next day off of school? Let us take care of the planning. WAWM Recreation and Community Services Department host camps on most non-school days during the school year. Each day is centered around a theme and will keep students engaged and entertained throughout the day in a series of activities, games, crafts, challenges, team building and so much more.

Camps are for elementary age students (4K-5th grade). Each day comes at the cost of $30. Camp opens at 7am and closes at 5:30pm. Breakfast and lunch are provided.

Visit our website for upcoming camp dates, themes and registration information.

Families in our community depend on Action Programs to provide care for their children before and after school every day. Action Programs strive to meet the needs of our families, but like many others are feeling the effects of the current staff shortage situation. This situation has left many families on waitlists and in need of care. We have URGENT needs with our Before School Program at Irving, Mitchell and Hoover Elementary schools. If interested, please fill out our application found at wawmrec.com. Have questions? Please contact Bobby Foreman at 414.604.4968
