How did you get to become an expert in your key topics?

The topic of my work and the topic of what I speak is IoT, I learned this by being part of exciting organisations and projects. I have been lucky to be invited to contribute to the journey of some of the early adopters of IoT. All over the world, from agriculture to utilities to consumer products. This has left me with a solid understanding of how companies are making decisions on innovative topics but also experience in guiding them to overcome hurdles and pitfalls.

Taking a step back, technology and IoT is my second career. Before 2015 I worked in the media industry, both strategically and also hosting a radio show and podcast for the largest commercial channels in Denmark. This has provided a useful experience in storytelling and interviewing – something that is very helpful when pitching ideas and discovering customers’ needs let alone being on stage.

What sub-topics are you most passionate about?

Diversity, especially in technology and leadership. Having been in multiple roles in several organizations I have gained knowledge about the issues of lacking diversity and the hurdles when trying to achieve this. Sustainability and bottom-line, how to use technology to reach both.

Who influences you on these topics?

I have a large network of skilled people with who I gain inspiration whenever we meet, connect digitally, or share their work on social media. As I work closely with customers and partners, I am also very influenced by where the technology is adopted. Working globally across segments can give a good indication of where we as an industry are moving and what to focus on.

What do you think the future holds in this space?

If a brand wanted to work with you, which activities would you be most interested in collaborating on?

Interviews, podcasts, speaking opportunities.

What are your passions outside of work?

That has always been a hard one, as I never had one specific hobby. I usually spend my free time working on passion projects and spending time on the boards that I am on. Lately, I have taken up basketball, gotta stay fit to stay strong – and the camaraderie is unbeatable.

What would be the best way for a brand to contact you?

LinkedIn.
