Compost Yard and Household Hazardous Waste Depot
Spring Curbside Leaf Collection
The curbside collection period ended on Friday, May 3rd.
Compost Yard Opening Dates
Town of Carleton Place residents who wish to deliver their leaf and yard waste to the Compost Yard, located at 128 Patterson Crescent, can do so starting on the following days:
Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (please note the change in hours of operation from 2023)
Wednesdays: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Public Works Department would like to remind residents that dropping materials at the gates of the Compost Yard when the facility is closed

Road Closure Notice - Saturday, May 4th
To accommodate the Chez 106 Celebration Event, where they will officially crown the Town of Carleton Place as the 2024 Best Small Town in the Ottawa Area, being held at the Market Square Pavilion (7 Beckwith Street), Beckwith Street will be closed on Saturday, May 4th, from Lake Avenue to Albert Street, from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Only local traffic will be permitted through the Beckwith & Albert Streets barricade.
