CHAIRMAN URGES FANS TO BACK BREWERS FOR CHELTENHAM GAME

14 April 2024

CHAIRMAN Ben Robinson is urging Brewers fans to turn up in force to back the Brewers at Tuesday’s important home game against Cheltenham Town on Tuesday (kick off 7.45pm).

The Brewers earned a crucial win away at Stevenage on Saturday to move three points clear of the bottom four with three games to play.

The 2-1 win on the road was a major boost to Martin Paterson’s side ahead of the penultimate home game of the season with Albion looking to take another big stride towards securing League One football next season.

The Brewers also face Reading at home on April 20 before finishing away at Fleetwood Town on April 27.

The Chairman said: “It was a great win away at Stevenage and now we are looking for another important victory against a Cheltenham team who also need the points to try and stay in League One.

“It’s an important game for both clubs and we need our supporters right behind us.

“Having a League One club is a major asset for the town of Burton.

“Supporting the football club helps us with all the things we do in the community such as the 750,000 Covid and flu jabs delivered by our Vaccination Centre.

“Our community trust reaches more than 14,000 people, delivering more than 40 wide ranging projects and a recent independent impact report assessed our economic impact on the local area at a staggering £7 million a year.

“I hope our fans will now turn out in force on Tuesday and cheer the team on to another great victory.”
