March Madness Betting

We are running out of time to bet on March Madness Final Four odds for this season. The Men’s NCAA Tournament resumes this Saturday, April 6th, with the Final Four. Then, the winners of the two Final Four matchups will meet on Monday to determine his year’s champion.

Keep reading to see the latest Final 4 odds for this year’s tournament. I will break down the odds for each remaining team with odds from one of the best March Madness sportsbooks, BetOnline.

Updated Final Four Odds

  • #1 Connecticut (-205)
  • #1 Purdue (+220)
  • #11 NC State (+1500)
  • #4 Alabama (+1600)

Just four of the 68 teams remain in this season’s Men’s NCAA Tournament. BetOnline has Connecticut listed as the -205 favorite to win back-to-back national championships. The other number one seed still remaining, Purdue, has the second-best odds at +220.

NC State (#11) and Alabama (#4) round out the group at +1500 and +1600, respectively. The Crimson Tide is the higher seed, but Alabama has longer odds than NC State because they face UConn on Saturday. The Wolfpack would not face UConn until the championship.

When Is the Final Four?

March Madness takes place all over the country, and different host cities are chosen every year. This year’s Men’s Final Four and NCAA championship game take place in Glendale, Arizona. It starts with the Final Four on Saturday, April 6th.

The Final Four matchups for this year are as follows:

  • #11 NC State vs. #1 Purdue (-9)
  • #4 Alabama vs. #1 Connecticut (-12)

The winners will meet on Monday, April 8th, to determine this year’s champion.

#1 Connecticut Final Four Odds

Illinois, one of my March Madness sleepers, made it to the Elite Eight. Unfortunately, the Fighting Illini ran in the buzzsaw that is Connecticut. The Huskies had a 30-0 run starting in the final two minutes of the first half that essentially sealed the game.

UConn’s run broke the 23-23 tie on the scoreboard. The Huskies are the defending champs, and they entered the tournament as the number one overall seed for a reason. Multiple starters returned from last season, and the Huskies could become the first team to repeat as champs in over a decade.

Part of the excitement of March Madness is that any team can be beaten if they have an off night. The Huskies have looked beatable at times in their last two matchups. If they start slow against Alabama, then UConn could be poised for an upset on Saturday.

#1 Purdue Final Four Odds

Purdue also entered the NCAA Tournament as a number-one seed this season. Sports betting sites have the Boilermakers listed at +220 to take home the National Championship this season. Purdue’s Final Four odds have them listed as a nine-point favorite heading into its matchup with NC State.

The Boilermakers have been dominant so far in this year’s tournament. Purdue has won three of its four games so far by double-digits. The lone exception was Purdue’s 72-66 win over Tennessee in the Elite Eight.

This season’s success is especially sweet for Purdue after its failure in the tournament last year. The Boilermakers became just the second number one seed to ever lose to a #16 seed. Virginia did it first in 2018 and then won the tournament the next year.

#11 NC State Final Four Odds

The lowest-ranked team still in the tournament is the NC State Wolfpack. NC State barely made it into March Madness after finishing the regular season with a 26-14 record. The Wolfpack won the ACC tournament to qualify and have not looked back.

BetOnline has NC State listed at 15-1 to keep its winning streak alive for two more games. If they do win, then this year’s Wolfpack team would be the lowest seed ever to win March Madness. The current record is held by Villanova, which won the tournament as an eight-seed in 1985.

The Wolfpack are already tied for the record as the lowest seed ever to make the Final Four. Oddsmakers have the Wolfpack as nine-point underdogs against Purdue, and they would be even bigger underdogs against UConn in the final. Still, it is hard to pick against NC State, given its current success in the tournament.

#4 Alabama Final Four Odds

Rounding out the teams in the Final Four is Alabama, which is listed at +1600 in the latest March Madness odds. The Crimson Tide has the unenviable task of facing UConn on Saturday in the Final Four.

Alabama is a 12-point underdog for Saturday’s matchup. The Crimson Tide have already beaten one number-one seed this year. They narrowly took down UNC 89-87 in the Sweet 16.

The Tide have scored at least 89 points in three of its four tournament games so far. UConn, on the other hand, has only scored that many points once so far in the tournament. However, the Huskies have not allowed more than 58 points in any tournament game this year.

Who Will Win the NCAA Title?

As exciting as it would be to see, I do not think that either remaining number one seed will be defeated this weekend. Instead, I think we are heading for a UConn vs. Purdue matchup in the Final on Monday.

The Huskies simply feel like the more complete team, and now they have had a chance to rest. If UConn beats Alabama on Saturday, its championship odds are going to shorten significantly. I would bet on UConn’s Final Four odds now at -205 before they shorten and become less valuable.

Prediction: UConn (-220)

More March Madness Betting Odds

Secure sports betting sites also offer exciting NCAA Final Four odds for prop wagers for the remaining tournament games. Here are three props I recommend for this year’s tournament.

UConn to Win Both Men’s and Women’s 2024 Championship (+1200)

As I mentioned above, UConn is the favorite to win the Men’s NCCA tournament this year. The Women’s team also made it to the Final Four, but they are listed at just +700 to win. Both South Carolina (-225) and Iowa (+325) are ahead of the Lady Huskies.

NC State’s Men’s and Women’s teams are also in the Final Four, but they are heavy underdogs in both. BetOnline is offering 12-1 odds on the Huskies taking home both the Men’s and Women’s titles.

I suggest placing at least a half-stake on this wager at +1200 odds. UConn won both tournaments in 2004 and 2014 and has a chance to do it for the third time this year.

Prediction: UConn wins both men’s and women’s championships (+1200)

March Madness Final Four Exact Outcome

BetOnline is also offering a prop wager for the exact outcome of the championship game. For this bet, you need to pick the winning team and the runner-up for the 2024 March Madness tournament. Check out the table below for the latest odds on this prop wager.

Winning Team Runner-Up Odds
UConn Purdue -130
Purdue UConn +325
UConn NC State +425
Purdue Alabama +1000
Alabama Purdue +2000
NC State UConn +2200
Alabama NC State +3300
NC State Alabama +5000

The option with the best odds for this wager is for UConn to beat Purdue (-130). That is also the outcome that I picked above, and I would stick with it for this wager.

If I had to pick another outcome, I would go with NC State beating Alabama (+5000). The two remaining number-one seeds losing in the Final Four would be shocking, but not impossible. Plus, at 50-1 odds, you can place a quarter-stake bet on this prop and still get a huge payday.

Prediction: UConn over Purdue (-130)

2024 Final Four Most Outstanding Player Award Odds

  • Donovan Clingan – UConn (+190)
  • Zach Edey – Purdue (+220)
  • Tristen Newton – UConn (+550)
  • Cam Spencer – UConn (+600)
  • Stephon Castle – UConn (+1800)
  • Mark Sears – Alabama (+2200)
  • DJ Burns – NC State (+2200)

BetOnline has odds on the Final Four Most Outstanding Player Award as well. UConn’s Donovan Clingan has the best odds to win the award at +190. Three other Huskies, Tristen Newton (+550), Cam Spencer (+600), and Stephon Castle (+1800), are also listed in the top five.

The only player listed in the top five that is not a Huskie is Purdue’s Zach Edey. BetOnline has Edey listed at +220 to take home the MOP this season. Alabama’s Mark Sears and NC State’s DJ Burns are tied for the sixth-best odds at +2200.

I believe UConn is going to win its second straight national title this year. For that to happen, the Huskies need Donovan Clingan, who led the team in rebounds and blocks this year, to have a great Final Four and Championship game. With that in mind, I would take Clingan for this futures wager.

Prediction: Donovan Clingan (+190)
