There is no greater incentive for getting vaccinated than doing your part to end the pandemic that has singularly redefined our lives over the past year. And as a show of appreciation for your efforts, Sam Adams wants to give you your first post-jab brew on the house.

Sam Adams is buying 10,000 beers for the newly inoculated in honor of National Beer Day. Or, more accurately, the Bostonian beer-maker is opening its coffers to provide beer money for the first 10,000 people to participate in its #ShotForSam initiative, which will take place from April 12 to May 15.

Here’s how to get in the lager line—once you’ve gotten at least one shot in the arm, of course.

You’re going to have to post to social media

With a promotional hashtag comes a reason to post. In order to claim Sam Adam’s offer, you’ll have to post a photo of your vaccine card or sticker on Instagram and/or Twitter showing you’ve received at least one round of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine (or the first and only shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, if that’s what’s available to you). All photos must be posted with the #ShotForSam hashtag and tagged with @samueladamsbeer, because otherwise the company would have no idea you’re on the hunt for complimentary suds.

The whole initiative kind of defies the general advice to not broadcast images of your vaccine card to the masses for fear of giving scammers information that would make it easier to steal your identity, so maybe opt for the sticker if you get one—or cover up your birthdate or other personal info when you share your card.

Time is of the essence, as supplies are limited: Sam Adams is dispersing its beer funds via $7 cash infusions, paid directly to winning participants via Cash App, ostensibly to be used to purchase a Sam Adams beer at a local bar or restaurant (though cash spends the same everywhere). Winners will be notified of their triumph when the beer company slides into their DMs, presumably informing them that the arrival of beer money is imminent. The contest is open to participants 21 years old and up; this isn’t an opportunity for college freshmen to hit up a beer maker in the hopes of claiming an unlawful beverage.

Make haste, as you have until May 15, or until 10,000 delicious beers have been claimed.
