As previously announced EfVET Annual Conference 2018 will take place on the 24-27 October in Como, Italy. This years' theme will be focused on "Rethinking VET for Inclusive excellence". Save the date

Stefano Tirati elected new Vice -President in charge of Projects
Graduated in educational sciences at University of Florence, where he has worked for 3 years, after attending a post-graduate course in Human Resources Management, at Middlesex University in London. His main areas of interest are: VET, advanced manufacturing, employment, entrepreneurship, teacher training, e-learning and energy.

"Mobility and the Role of Youth - Eurodesk Survey 2017 
Eurodesk just presented the results of their last Survey on mobilty and the role of youth. Main findings show that one of the main barriers for going abroad are link to they were not aware of all the facts and the opportunity of participating and financial issues.

Digital Europe together with PwC presented the study on EU Digital Transformation, which included as a key political action "a digital skills plan for the entire population, with a comprehensive set of actions to upskill the workforce"

Projects News
Digital: Empower good practices on media literacy
EMPOWER partners has focused on Good Practice for media literacy and critical thinking in Vocational Education Training. Two good examples are the : the work of the National Swedish for Education.
Survey: Digital Competences at the workplace
DC4WORK (“Digital Competences 4 Work”) project launch a survey aiming to clarifies the current situation of companies, specifically in the sectors of tourism and trade, related to their awareness and demands of digital skills of their employees.
Tour4all last phase of the project
The third Project meeting took place in January 2018. Tour4all is finishing the training module and the platform. These materials will be test in VET centers in Portugal, Italy and Germany. Final conference will take place on September in Brussels.

GET UP project: photo contest
FORMA.Azione  (Italy)

GET UP project, which was also presented during the last EfVET Conference in Thessaloniki, they have launched a photo contest to promote gender equality in transition phases at school, at work and at society at large. It is structured around three main topics: #wasteoftalent #genderpaygap #worklifebalance.
Cometa educational approach in VET
Punto Cometa  (Italy)

On February 20th 2018, Cometa Formazione and Cometa Research organized the Conference “The Cometa Educational Approach”. It has been the official presentation of the Report promoted by Fondazione Agnelli (Italian Research Centre for quality in Education) and realized by Gaia Banzi and Susanna Mantovani (Università Milano-Bicocca) on the analysis of the Cometa educational approach and its transferability at national and international level. The “reality-based learning approach” and the tutoring activities have been the main focus of the report
Transnational labour mobility in the EU

Eurosuccess Consulting coordinates the European project European Labor Mobility Support – LAMOS EU. This project is the result of a newly formed strategic partnership between five partner organisations from five different European countries, aiming to improve the system supporting people who wish to work abroad.
 
Work linked training: a challenge for the Italian educational system”

Work-experience schemes in Italian secondary high schools is something relatively new and recent. In order to carefully face and discuss such an important and demanding topic, on 29th January, IIS Brunelleschi /Da Vinci in Frosinone has organized a meeting named “Work linked training: a challenge for the Italian educational system”.
 
Work placements in Athens and Finland

ΙΕΚ ΣΒΙΕ (SBIE V.T.I) is Greek VET school specialised in healthcare. During the last months they have been involved in welcoming students from Finland and The Netherlands, but as well sending students to partners institutions in Finland.
DUAL training through mobility
ENAC (Italy)

Dual MOB project started in October 2017 with the aim of promoting learning periods abroad for 300 Italian students attending VET courses that adopt Work Based Learning methodologies. The project will last 2 years and involves 9 Italian partners and 20 partners from 6 European Countries.

CECE (Spain)

Drone European Platform (DEP) project and the use of Drones offer a variety of interesting opportunities in the field of agriculture. DEP is willing to develop and present a holistic approach to the increase of effectiveness of educational offers in what is related to delivering to the world of work better qualified trainees.
BBS Syke EUROPSCHUL job fair 

ome insight into our early job fair with 103 exhibitors at our school this year. Companies show their options for young adults in VET education.
 
Promoting active citizenship: #PacetrainingEU

Pacetraining is a Eramsus+ KA2 strategic partnership which aims the identification of a specific training programme targeting SN people, namely those affected by genetic related pathologies such as Down Syndrome, autism and others.
