PlayStation Home is the virtual gaming platform that Sony began developing in 2005. It was finally released in December 2008 and was accessible on the PS3. Home allowed users to create a custom avatar, which could be groomed realistically. Each avatar was given a personal apartment that users could decorate with free, bought, or won items. Users could travel throughout the Home world, which was frequently updated by Sony and its partners.
As a result, fans were devastated when PlayStation shut down the Studio in 2015. However, recently Sony has been updating the trademark for PlayStation Home on its official site leading players to believe that the 3D game service will make a triumphant comeback. The trademark update talks about hosting and staging online tournaments, social networking services, and much more. It’s essentially unlocking the potential that PS Home originally had.

PlayStation Home trademark updates hint towards a VR 2.0
Most users are suspecting this revival of PlayStation Home has something to do with the arrival of PlayStation VR 2.0. Sony typically makes the most out of its accessory releases. We saw this in the case of the PS3’s ‘Move’. Furthermore, fans received the first-generation VR so well that it would only make sense for Sony to release an updated version of the system.

PlayStation is also reportedly working on an alternative build of the PS5 called the PS5 6nm. The new console will supposedly be sleeker and lighter than the original. Due to a new stand attachment design, the console will reportedly be 300 grams lighter than the original.
Adding to the Kraken Technology which gives it an advantage over its competitors, we could see Sony utilizing the newly released FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) upscaling technology. This will bring out the best from PS5 titles allowing them to run at 60 fps and native 4K resolution.
