The mobile dispatch unit of the National Police that deals with the renewal of the DNI – the Spanish citizen identification document – will be in Xàbia on Monday 7th February, providing a good way to facilitate the updating of the identity document for people who have problems moving outside the town to carry out the procedure.

The mobile team will be located in the multipurpose room of the Portal del Clot and appointments can now be requested at the Xàbia local police station between 9.00am and 2.00pm. As usual, the processing will be carried out in two phases. Firstly, on Monday 7th 7th, the data of the applicants will be collected and then, two days later on Wednesday 9th, the DNI cards will be available at the police station.

Councilor Juan Ortolá (Citizen Security) explained that, after many years without having this proximity service, it is now available, considering, above all, the elderly or people with mobility problems, who will be given priority when assigning available appointments.

For many years, you’ve told us how much you love what we’re doing and some of you have even asked for ways to say thanks. For us, there really is nothing easier to show someone how much you appreciate their efforts than buying them a beer (or a wine; or even a coffee) – it’s so simple.
