SXSW 2021

Augmented Reality - Our Collective Time Machine

Description:

We're at the threshold of our next digital revolution, constructing a new layer of the World Wide Web. With tools and knowledge proliferating, we are pioneering the rapid development of our new reality.

With any new tech comes profound opportunity and congruent ethical responsibility. Previous AR scaling faced technical and accessibility challenges, but we’ll look at what's exponentially evolving, a roadmap of the years ahead.

We're writing the rules for an 'archive of everything', future, present and past. Metadata of our world around us.

What risks do we take? Are holograms the product of dystopian inevitability? Or a museum of self-preservation?

If we could build the world’s largest contextual library, what should we consider as our key priorities?
