Whatever you did to make the scale work on this image was done well, it looks like something that could be found in the world of Star Wars, or a place that could be visited here on Earth 1000 years from now.

I do not know how much of the detail was just random, but there is a lot to look at and that is a good thing. The clouds especially were expertly done and I wonder if that was made possible with the new volume object and the related modifiers.

Nice one. Have some hand paint feel :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi Marcel,

This is so freaking awesome!! What a great way to start the new year! So much to look forward to in 2021. You’re other sci-fi works are great also.

First, thank you very much!
Concerning clouds I made them in houdini, still haven’t played with new volume modifier…
Not a lot was actually random, everythings undercontrol

yea I did some overpaint
thanks!

Yes, I admire the incredibly-fine detail in this image … there’s not a single crevice (other than the snowfield) which is not filled with angular geometry. But what catches me rather off-guard is the jarring juxtaposition of scale. The great-big-ball and the snowfield (especially(!) the snow …) are at one scale, while everything else is by comparison microscopic.

I think you mean clouds.

And yes… They might be a tad to dense to come across as clouds the first look.

but great work nonetheless.

Thank you guys so much!

Hello, your picture is very nice. I love it.

You choosed to tag it in the “Exterior architecture” category. I’m not sure it is the good one because i don’t feel it like an architecture project. Rather like a “Sci Fi” project ?
