Site Speed – a gentle introduction

Andy Davies is a Freelance Web Performance Consultant and has helped some of the UK’s leading retailers, newspapers and financial services companies make their sites faster. He believes that every site can be fast no matter how large or small the business behind it is. He’s co-author of ‘Using WebPageTest’ published by O’Reilly and author of ‘The Pocket Guide to Web Performance’. Andy is also one of the organisers of the London Web Performance Meetup.

Joel: I’ve known Andy for many years (he spoke at the very first website conference I organised) and not only is he an expert in his field, but he is extremely gifted in his ability to explain what can be a highly technical subject to a non-technical audience.
