Build a global decentralized multi-agent system: Join and participate in our testnet program

At Fetch.ai, our mission is to build the infrastructure required for autonomous software agents to unlock the value trapped in wasted data, and organize complex tasks to benefit individuals, businesses and organizations.

We are achieving this by forming a connective layer with a decentralized network with open-source software tools to give anyone access to the power of AI on a world-scale secure dataset to carry out complex coordination in the modern economy. Let us take a look at where we stand today.

Progress on Partnerships — Where do we stand today?

Our long term objective is to design and deliver real-world implementable use cases for our technology. To achieve that long-term objective, it was imperative for us to collaborate and partner with organizations who shared the same vision.

Just last week we announced our partnership with Datarella with whom we plan to collaborate and build an open-access decentralized machine learning network for smart infrastructure. In particular, the objective of this partnership focuses on expanding smart parking, smart mobility, and smart city infrastructures using artificial intelligence, blockchain, and IoT.

The key benefits of this collaboration as highlighted by Michael Reuter (CEO of Datarella) and Humayun Sheikh (CEO and Founder of Fetch.ai) include decreasing CO2 emissions, traffic congestion and fighting climate change.

But our partnership with Datarella is not the only one we have announced in the past aimed at changing how we view technology in our day-to-day lives. To view the complete list of all our partnerships we have confirmed so far, here’s a list (in no particular order):

Cambridge University, T-Labs, Baştuğ Metallurgy, Warwick Business School, Wi-Q technologies, Hegic, Conflux Network, Waves, Ankr, Grey Swan Digital, Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative (MOBI), Sovrin Steward, Smart Dubai with Outlier Ventures, Trusted IoT Alliance, Blockchain 4 Europe.

What’s in it for you as a developer?

This is the million $FET token question isn’t it? What’s in it for you to join us as a developer?

We are pretty much flying under the radar at the moment not because we want to keep low but because we want to back the talk.

We are not promising the world an utopia but we do want to make the world a better place by laying down the foundations of a digital economy. An interconnected, democratized economy where you control your data and directly benefit from it.

We have begun our Incentivized Testnet program wherein we are currently building and testing real autonomous agents aimed at tackling a myriad of challenges. Let’s deep dive, shall we?

The real autonomous agents or digital representatives are what we call ‘Agents’. Agents are personalised pieces of software that act autonomously on your behalf to get stuff done. That could be something as simple from ordering a pizza for you to looking up what time you should take your train while taking into account real time scenarios such as delays. But we want to take it a step further.

Our aim is to launch our Mainnet v2.0 early next year and to ensure we stay on track, we compartmentalized our development schedule by breaking it down in different phases.

As of now we are in Phase 1 of our Incentivized Testnet with Agent World 2 up and RUNNING! If you still haven’t joined our Incentivized testnet program, you can do so here: https://docs.fetch.ai/i_nets/quickstart-aw2/

Anyways, where were we? So we are on course with testing our Agent World 2 Testnet phase where we are building “Agents” to help us tackle bigger issues besides ordering pizza. Following our recent partnership with Datarella, we want to use our agents to help deal with current issues in mobility and climate change.

Keep in mind that these agents must conform to FIPA (Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents) for negotiating and transacting, and we’ll create buyer agents to track the information that is being delivered. After completing Agent World 2, you’ll have a real agent, selling real data, searching and discovering via the Simple Open Economic Framework (SOEF) — in our digital world.

In case you’re wondering what a SOEF means:

The “Open Economic Framework (OEF)” is the search, discovery and transaction protocol for the Fetch network.

Think of it in three levels:

Agents are software / bots / apps created by users, which find each other via the OEF which is a communication protocol for bots, which uses the ledger as a means of settlement and finality for transactions.

Sign me up, Scotty! What’s next?

Next up and coming up this Friday is our launch of building a large network of agents interacting or as we like to call it — Agent World 3.

The final stage of Phase 1 of the Incentivized Testnet program — Agent World 3 (AW-3) is scheduled to kick off this Friday and run until the December 4th.
