Clinton teachers offer thanks for support

“We did it." We have successfully completed our first week back with our students since March. Under those masks, we saw smiling faces. Our halls came to life again. Our classrooms, although properly socially distanced, were repopulated with students ready and eager to learn. As educators, we have been anticipating this event all summer. At times, we were unsure this day would even come to fruition.

None of this, not one second, would have been possible without a collaborative, cooperative effort from the entire town of Clinton. Thank you to the many stakeholders. We, the educators in the Clinton Public Schools, feel extremely blessed to have worked and collaborated with an administrative team as dedicated as the one we have. Thank you to the tireless effort of our superintendent, assistant superintendent, principals, assistant principals, technology team, secretaries, food service staff and custodial staff who spent countless hours this summer to ensure our students had the opportunity to come back to school and learn in person. For their time, commitment and dedication to this community and its children, we are eternally grateful.

We, the teachers, are blessed to work in a community that rallies together in times of crisis and together, “we build the future, one child at a time.”
