Every issue of Allure magazine is packed with products. Each month, our editors bring you the buzziest launches and the most effective formulas. But for our special November 2020 issue, we took this a step further and asked: What if our magazine was a straight-up shopping list — broken down by category?
The answer: We threw out the usual magazine format and reorganized our pages into four different “beauty counters”: makeup, hair, skin, and fragrance. That way, if you’ve been wanting to reinvigorate your skin-care routine with a new cleanser, you know just where to go. Or, if you are looking for fragrance gifting ideas, you can flip right to that section. Each "counter" is bolstered with what's-right-for-me advice that you’d get if you could walk into your favorite beauty store right now, which is unfortunately no longer a given. In our makeup section, we also bring you the what-would-it-look-like-on-me feedback you would get from the testing stations and makeup artists in a physical store. To do it, we partnered with the YouCam Makeup app where you can try on full-face looks and products virtually with your phone.
Each and every story in the November issue helps you shop. In the end, it's a list 250-products deep (second in scope only to our massive Best of Beauty issue).
