Science for Sailing IV - Cybersecurity
The maritime world is on the brink of several game-changing innovations: autonomous ships, carbon-neutral fuels, Internet-of-Things-style data processing, novel cybersecurity measures… to name a few. Cyberthreats and our response to them will be one of the major factors defining safe and secure shipping in the decades to come.

To further these developments, Antwerp Maritime Academy invites innovators and hands-on users of these innovations to debate which technological developments are at the forefront for the next 5-10 years and which will have to be treated most urgently.

         15:00 – 15:30: Coffee break

15:30 – 16:00: Cybersecurity in a European research context (Varna, Bulgaria - Dr. Borislav Nikolov and Capt. Nikolai Velikov)

16:00 – 16:30: Tips and tricks for secure maritime travel (Jan Guldentops, AP- V-ict-Or)

16:30 – 17:00: Towards a maritime cybercampus in Antwerp (MCA and AMA)

A networking drink is foreseen by 17 h 00.
