Message from Camden and Islington working in partnership:

Covid-19 continues to impact us all. Measures taken in response to the pandemic are adapting over time and can be quite confusing. So we want to make sure that everyone understands how to keep safe. We also want to make sure that everyone has a reliable source to turn to for help and support during these challening times.

Above all else, we want to empower communities to make informed choices about how to reduce the risks of Covid-19 and keep safe.

This is where you could help by becoming a Covid-19 Health Champion.

As a COVID-19 Health Champion you will provided with the latest and most up to date guidance on COVID-19 including on:

  • NHS Test and Trace
  • Social distancing
  • Self-isolation
  • Shielding

You will also get to do Covid-19 Good Conversations Training for free

This virtual training helps you to Make Every Contact Count (MECC) by helping you to develop and enhance the skills required for good conversations is these very challenging times. These new skills will support you to empower your friends, families and other community members to make informed choices about reducing risk and staying safe in relation to Covid19.

As part of this training you will also learn how to identify when a resident might need health and wellbeing support or work, income and housing related support. Through good conversations you will be able to signpost friends, families and community members to appropriate support and services.

After you are all trained up you can be involved as little or as much as you want with the Covid-19 health Champion network. For example, we will support you to carry out the role with weekly online drop-in sessions and provide you with information packs.
