THE racing world is reeling after the sad news that nine-time Irish champion Flat jockey Pat Smullen has lost his brave battle with cancer at the age of 43..

Smullen passed away in Dublin’s St Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by his close family having fought pancreatic cancer since first being diagnosed with the illness in March of 2018.
