Reading Buddies is a program sponsored by the Duncanville Public Library that is geared toward improving the literacy of elementary aged children in K-2nd grades. Reading Buddies will help students improve their reading skills through guided reading, and read alouds.
Requirements:
- experience tutoring school age children
- patient
- flexible
- easy going
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
An orientation will be provided.

The library is more than books. Since our doors opened in 1955 we have provided our community with opportunities to broaden their worldview knowledge. We provide programs for all ages and all interests. We strive to be innovative in the services that we offer. The library is successful because we have skilled volunteers and employees who bring enthusiasm and dedication to work with them.
