Join us for Curious By Nature LIVE!

We're excited to announce our first installment of Curious By Nature LIVE! Join camp directors Nicole and Becca on Wednesday, July 22, for Bug Detectives, an online exploration of bugs! During this interactive 60-minute workshop, young scientists will observe our live bugs and use their observations to predict where bugs live. Click here to register!
Rebecca pointed out a lot of the cool structures that make box turtles unique in today's episode. Test your memory and see how many you can name by printing out our box turtle puzzle. See how many parts you recognize while you test how quickly you can put the puzzle back together!
It's not likely that you'll encounter a box turtle in the city of Chicago, but you'll probably encounter some of the other turtles that live near parks and ponds. You can use this guide to help you determine which turtle is which. Then download our field guide worksheet and make recordings of the animals you encounter on your nature walks!
