We are digging up all the Production Design charm and tricks with no other than ANNE SEIBEL!! The French production designer Anne Siebel has worked with directors such as Sofia Coppola ‘Marie Antoinette', Steven Spielberg ‘Munich',  Clint Eastwood ‘Hereafter’, Serge Gainsbourg 'Stan The Flasher’, M. Night Shyamalan 'The Happening', Ralph Fiennes 'The White Crow’,  Randall Wallace 'The man in the Iron Mask', Tony Scott 'Spy Game’ and so many more. Anne was nominated for an Oscar for her work in Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen and she’s even participated in series such as 'The Sopranos', 'Sex and the City’, and 'Rosemary’s Baby’ (by Agnieska Holland). What a track record! <3

Anne’s newest project is the series, ’The Eddy’ by Oscar-winner Damien Chazelle (La La Land, Whiplash), which premiered May 8th on Netflix.

MORE ABOUT ANNE:

Production designer, Anne Seibel entered the film industry in 1985, on the set of James Bond 'A View To Kill'. After that, she collaborated with prestigious directors and movies, such as Richard Heffron 'The French Revolution: Years of Rage', Serge Gainsbourg 'Stan The Flasher', Michel Drach 'Il est génial Papy', Gerard Jugnot 'Casque Bleu', Renny Harlin 'Cutthroat Island', Randall Wallace 'The man in the Iron Mask', and Tony Scott 'Spy Game'.

In 2002, English director, Eric Styles invited Anne to do her first movie as production designer: 'Tempo’. In 2004, she worked on 'Marie Antoinette' directed by Sofia Coppola, where she met the producer, Ross Katz. In 2008, Ross entrusted Anne to make her first Indian movie, 'Road Movie' directed by Dev Benegal.

In the meanwhile, she collaborated with more exciting directors, such as Steven Spielberg ‘Munich',  alongside Rick Carter (the production designer of Avatar and her mentor), David Frankel 'The Devils wears Prada', Brett Ratner 'Rush Hour 3', M. Night Shyamalan 'The Happening', Stephen Sommers 'G.I.Joe: The Rise of the Cobra', and Clint Eastwood 'Hereafter'.

She designed the sets for three of Woody Allen movies, 'Midnight in Paris', for which she was nominated for an Oscars, 'To Rome with love' and 'Magic in the Moon Light’.

She also worked on Agnieska Hollands’ mini-series for Lionsgate, 'Rosemary’s Baby'. In early 2015, she worked with Jean Pierre Jeunet in ‘Casanova' for Amazon and in ‘Paris Can Wait,’ the film debut of Eleanor Coppola. In 2016, she worked on a Bollywood movie shot entirely in Paris for Aditya Chopra, 'Befikre'.

In 2018, she worked on Ralph Fiennes' 'The White Crow,’ and in 2019, she worked with the writer and producer of ‘Sex and the City’ again for ‘Emily in Paris’. 

Her latest work in Damien Chazelle's (La La Land, Whiplash) series ‘The Eddy’ can be seen starting May 8th on Netflix. She is currently working on 'Mrs Harris Goes to Paris' directed by Anthony Fabian.
