We targeted this dune field in Aonia Terra, a region in the Southern Hemisphere of Mars, to sample the surface texture, roughness and the small scale morphologies and how these might relate to a thermophysical map of the area. (Thermophysical refers to the physical properties of materials as affected by elevated temperatures. The bright spots are carbon dioxide frost.)
