The video, dated 6 February 2021, was just two days before her sad death.

Displaying warmth and good humour throughout, Mary was all smiles as she shared the happy news.

"So much has happened to me in the month of February - and by me, I mean The Supremes," she shared.

"We're going to be talking about The Supremes - 60th anniversary! I'll be talking a lot about that, because I'm working with Universal who are going to be releasing new Mary Wilson recordings!"

She continued: "I think they're going to release Red Hot, that album, remember? In the late 60s? No, it was the late 70s.

"So we've got Red Hot, the Gus Dudgeon songs that I did in the late 70s, and it's full of wonderful songs that were never released, but there will also be some other songs, some surprising new songs, new recordings!

"So thank you Universal for chiming in with me and helping this come true. Hopefully some of that will be out on my birthday - March 6th!"

Mary also spoke about Black History Month, and how she had recently done an interview on the film Green Book, which depicts a racially segregated United States.

"I was interviewed about that Green Book," she told, "I hope you guys saw the movie, because, hey, we're The Supremes, we experienced a lot of that stuff."

Mary co-founded The Supremes at the age of just 15 alongside Diana Ross and Florence Ballard.

Like Mary, Diana carved out a solo career for herself after the band split, while Florence tragically died at 32 in 1976.

Mary appeared on all 12 of The Supremes' number one hits between 1964 and 1969.

A statement from Berry Gordy, founder of the Motown label, said Mary was "extremely special" to him, and that she'll be "deeply missed."
