Ideally, software engineering graduates enter industry with both hard and soft skills along with a balanced understanding of fundamental principles and practicalities of the profession. Unfortunately, what they are often missing is practical knowledge, particularly when it comes to high integrity software. As a result, industry leader BAE Systems has developed an innovative and scalable apprenticeship programme to train the next generation of engineers in building safer, more secure products.
BAE Systems’ apprenticeship programme offers paid, job-specific training and experience for students of different ages and experience levels, starting as early as age 16. The programme provides students with practical experience working on innovative security products and services, providing valuable qualifications and the chance to forge a high-impact career in engineering.
