He had an underwhelming first season in college, but being the son of LeBron James has its perks. Teams could try to draft Bronny in hopes of signing LeBron, who will be a free agent after this season. One team that could look to draft Bronny ahead of the Lakers is the New York Knicks. Drafting Bronny would certainly put more of a spotlight on the Knicks. New York has been looking for a new star since Carmelo Anthony left, and MSG would be a good place for LeBron to end his career.

Bronny would fit the Knicks’ playing style, too. He is a talented defender for his size, and Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau loves players who can play defense. Thibodeau could get the most out of Bronny, with or without LeBron.

Philadelphia 76ers (+800)

Another team listed at 8-1 odds to draft Bronny is the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers were one of the teams who attempted to court LeBron in 2018. Philly could finally land LeBron if they draft his son.

The 76ers are also one of the top contenders in the East when Joel Embiid is healthy. It would be a good spot for LeBron to end his career while still giving him a chance to chase rings.

Cleveland Cavaliers (+1000)

Speaking of Cleveland, the Cavaliers are listed at +1000 to draft Bronny this summer. The Cavaliers’ only pick in the upcoming draft is in the first round. Barring a trade, the Cavs would have to draft Bronny in the second half of the first round.

The Cavs should know Bronny better than just about any other team in the NBA. Drafting the son of the best player in the team’s history would be a nice full-circle moment. It could also be enough to get LeBron to go to Cleveland for a third time.

Oklahoma City Thunder (+1000)

Rounding out the top five is the Oklahoma City Thunder. OKC is tied with the Cavs for the fourth-best odds at 10-1. The Thunder have plenty of young talent and could be real championship contenders sooner rather than later.

I doubt LeBron would want to leave the bright lights of a big market like LA. But OKC could be the better fit for Bronny because he would not be expected to be a star. Bronny could also benefit from Coach of the Year front-runner Mark Daigneault.
