Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman at Anderson Speedway Saturday

Salem, IN (August 9, 2022) – The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS will return to action with the running of the Cintas 100 this Saturday at Anderson Speedway, located in Anderson, IN. Saturday’s Cintas 100 will be the third of four series events at Anderson Speedway during the 2022 season. The last event will be on September 17th. The Cintas 100 will be the longest race of the season for the series at 100 laps and will be the highest paying event of the season, paying $2,000 to the event winner.

Ohio native Ryan Fleming got his first ever series win in the series season opener at Shadybowl Speedway on April 3rd as part of the CRA Cabin Fever Championships. Jeff Marcum got the win in the series second event of the season at Anderson Speedway on April 16th, adding to Marcum’s wins list with the series and at Anderson Speedway where he has claimed several Late Model Championships. Austin Coe got the win in the series event at Mt. Lawn Speedway on June 16th. Marcum went back to victory lane in the series’ last event on July 2nd at Anderson Speedway.

2021 series Rookie of the Year Kyle Worley comes into Saturday’s event as the series 2022 Regular Season Champion in the series 2022 Chase for the Championship and is guaranteed a spot in the final four drivers who will race for the series Championship at Winchester Speedway on October 15th as long as he competes in all the Chase events. The other Chase drivers vying for one of the three remaining Chase spots to race for the Championship includes Kent Carson, Cassten Everidge, Logan Huckeba, Caleb Reschar and Keegan Sobilo. Huckeba and Sobilo are also battling for the series 2022 Rookie of the Year. All six of the Chase drivers are entered for Saturday’s event.

The event will also feature many of the Anderson Speedway MEP Late Model contenders as the two groups battle for supremacy on the tight ¼ mile track, including current points leader J.P. Crabtree and his father Jim Crabtree Jr., a former regular with the ARCA/CRA Super Series, who is second in points. Buddy Davis is third in points, Mike Sargent is fourth in points and Kevin Gross is fifth in points. Both Crabtree’s, Davis and Sargent are all entered for Saturday night’s event.

Other top drivers entered includes Marcum looking for his third straight series win at Anderson this season, three time series Champion Billy Hutson, 2021 ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Hunter Jack, 2021 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Rookie of the Year Tanner Jack, Greg Stilwell, Kaden White, Jared Soards, Evan Varney, and Curtis Setser II who will be making his series debut, he is the brother of former full-time series competitor Corey Setser.

There is an open practice this Friday at Anderson Speedway from 4:30pm to 7:30pm.

On Saturday pit gates open at 2:30pm. Practice will begin at 4pm with qualifying beginning at 6pm. The race program is set to begin at 7:30pm and will start off with the Cintas 100 for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman. Also racing that night will be the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks in their 150 lap Cowboy, Come! Canning & Distillery Four Crown Championship event as well as the Thunder Roadsters and Vintage Wrench Ford Division.
