Airdev Hackathon #airhack

Registration is now open here!
Format
Airdev is holding a weeklong Hackathon coming soon! Maybe you’ll remember that cool side project you’re excited to work on, or find a friend or two (teams up to 3) to work with and get to know more closely.
We want to support the Build in Public movement, so we’re recommending Tweets from your team members (maybe whoever worked the most that day, or from everyone) showing something cool you built that day or a summary of the day’s work, if there’s anything to share.
Progress updates are encouraged (but you don’t need to do so daily) and we’ll be able to find you better if you include @airdevco and #airhack!
The Bubble app must start from the Canvas Base Template and include at least one Canvas block.
At the end of your build, please Tweet the following along with @airdevco and #airhack:
a link to your app (the app should be set to “Everyone can view” within settings so judges can see your technical optimization)
a video that can easily be shared on Twitter (Twitter itself, Loom, Youtube, etc.) with:
The reason you chose this app (and why a VC wouldn’t invest)
An walkthrough of your app from the user’s perspective
Which Canvas block you used
Optional: anything else you think we should know!
At the end of the week, judging will occur, and we will share a link to the top three team’s apps.
Prompt
Build something useful that a VC would never invest in!
Ex: mcbroken.com, an app to create special Spotify playlists, an app that lets you track government officials’ stock trading, etc.
Prizes
First: One iPad (or equivalent gift cards if your team prefers)
Second/Third: One HomePod (same as above)
Timeline
The competition starts April 25 and goes for a week until May 1. That way, you’ll have at least a full weekend to work with your team! Think of your ideas now, but don’t start until April 25!
You have a full week, but your app doesn’t have to be very large; we just want you to have fun!
Judging
We will have an independent judging panel to help us review the apps.
The criteria will be
Creativity
Use of Canvas
Technical optimization (database fields/types, modularization, edge cases, etc.)
Design
Does it meet the prompt (useful, VC would never invest)
