This year's Creations for Charity fundraiser has begun

Posted by ,

This year's Creations for Charity, the annual event that raises money to buy LEGO for underprivileged kids, has just begun.

Organiser Nannan Zhang writes "The Creations for Charity 15th annual sale starts today! From now until November 30, you can purchase a one-of-a-kind custom creation donated by builders around the world. Check back often as new items will be added regularly to the store during the next six weeks.

"To donate a creation yourself, please fill out a donation form on creationsforcharity.org and we will list your MOC in the store and notify you when it's time to ship to the buyer. For the first time this year, builders will also auction their creations throughout the 24-hour live stream on Beyond the Brick's YouTube channel starting at noon EST on November 24. We look forward to seeing you!"

Head on over to the website to donate a MOC or to buy one, and view a selection of the items available after the break.

You can buy it for 200$ and contribute to charity!

@LegoBoi69: I don't like taxes any more than you I guess, but they have little to do with charity I'm afraid.
While some prices they ask seem very dear, even for a charitable cause, others are far more reasonable. Plus, remember they include shipping.

I support the initiative and that Gameboy is awesome, but sadly it's already out of stock.

sure they do, where do you think Germany's charity budget of 35billion (partially) comes from?

Right now, one is out of stock and the GBA is in stock. Remember these are sold by individuals so they can add stock sporadically if they want to fulfill another. Some people fund the costs of the bricks and postage so only offer one, but they can also charge the charity for the bricks and postage if they don't want to pay for this so there is a way of doing it at no costs to them if they want to add more.

these look really good but I cant stomach the prices, even if they are for charity. some of these models look amazing, but not £200 amazing (looking at you AMP suit)

You seem to be confusing our social security network (part of which is indeed funded by our taxes) with charity. Charity is mainly funded by donations (and partly by tax exemptions of charitable organizations like the red cross etc.)
