The 2024 Freedom Award: Call for Nominations
Freedom House invites your nominations for the 2024 Freedom Award, recognizing outstanding leaders in the cause of freedom and democracy.

Past recipients of the Freedom Award include Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Uyghur activist Ilham Tohti, and, most recently, Russian opposition leader and journalist Vladimir Kara-Murza and the Women of Iran.

Nominations for the award should document the individual's extraordinary achievements in and support for advancing democracy and human rights and must be submitted by September 22, 2023.
