Leslie Alleyne and Chris O’Neal were the winners of the Chefette MudDogs May Safari last Saturday after one of the closest contests in recent memory.

Fewer than 200 penalty points covered the top six.

Having given their new POD Store/Maxxis Suzuki Jimny a debut win when the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship started in March, their second victory gives them an early lead in the standings with three more events to run.

Alleyne and O’Neal finished with 352 penalties, 28 ahead of Ben Norris and Kirk Watkins, in a Jeep Rubicon, who repeated their second placing from March. (PR/AR)
