Worth the hard work

February tends to be a very busy month for the park teams as they prepare for the new season. They are constantly striving to provide you with the best experience they possibly can.

It's hard work and many of the jobs you may not even notice. Some require big investments of time and money. Here's a quick round-up of how park teams have prepared for the new season.

Delph Bank opens new shop

Delph Bank Touring Park in Lincolnshire opened earlier this month with the fantastic addition of a new shop in reception (above). It stocks essentials, toiletries, treats (for dogs and humans) and caravan accessories, as well as local produce and freshly baked goods. From 1 April you'll also be able to buy alcohol, so you can pick up a nice chilled beer or rosé when you arrive!

Overbrook gents makeover

Overbrook Caravan Park have been busy remodelling the gents shower cubicles so you'll find them very shiny and new if you're visiting next month.

Enhancing the look of Llwynifan Farm

Hywel at South Wales Touring Park reports that they have rewired a section of the park and laid 30 railway sleepers plus tons of Welsh slate. They have also done a huge amount of pruning and put down some fresh stones (below left).

Old Oaks soaks up the sun

Old Oaks Touring & Glamping Park in Somerset have installed 350 solar panels to power the park with clean, home-grown energy.

Green Acres special touches

If you're heading to Green Acres Caravan Park in Cumbria you'll find upgraded laundry facilities and a new reception area. There are also imrprovements to some pitches and the chemical disposal point.

Back of Beyond just gets better

While closed, the team at Back of Beyond Touring Camping & Glamping Park in Dorset have added new hedging between pitches for extra privacy and a new entrance barrier. All glamping units now have their own fire pit – perfect for toasting marshmallows – and there's a new 'snug' in Monty's Bar (below left). They've also booked several band nights across the season with more to come, starting on 22 April. Check the park's events page for details.

Two Mills mural

At Two Mills Touring Park in Norfolk, they've refurbished the reception/shop area, which now includes a brilliant mural painted by manager Steve (above right). They've also started offering local Norfolk produce in the shop.

New improved Wells reception

Congratulations to Wells Touring Park on making the reception, coffee shop and bar building look absolutely stunning (below).

Ground care and more at Bath Chew Valley

The team at Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park have completed a new all-weather footpath along the full length of the park’s on-site dog walk, updated drainage after the wet winter and replaced many of the fully-serviced pitch waste water drains as well as the motorhome service point. The team are busy pruning and dressing the lawns to be pristine for spring (below left.)

Trethem tree planting

In addition to working on the pitches, the team at Trethem Mill Touring Park in Cornwall have been planting trees (above right).

Numerous jobs at Somers Wood

The maintenance jobs completed at Somers Wood Caravan Park, which is located near the Birmingham NEC, are too numerous to list here. They include a complete makeover of the information hut (below left).

Availability update: Full for the Caravan Camping & Motorhome show, Crufts and Easter. Still some availability for the May bank holidays and midweek breaks.

Refurbishment at Yr Helig/The Willows

The excitement is building for the new owners of Yr Helig/The Willows Caravan Park in North Wales as they approach the start of their first full season with many bookings already in the system. They have now completed the refurbishment of the Willerby (above right), which has spectacular views over the coastline to Snowdonia and is available to rent. To celebrate, they have announced a special offer (see below).
