Restaurante Tula, based in the Arenal zone, continues to reap great success with more awards for the kitchen of Borja Susilla and Clara Puig. This time, the restaurant has been distinguished with two ‘Soles’ from the Guía Repsol, and it is one of just two restaurants in the entire Comunidad valenciana to have gained two “soles” in this latest list of winners, the other being Restaurante Raúl Resino in Castellón.

The Guía Repsol highlights the emotion component of Tula that permeates each of its creations. Not in vain, for Tula is the name of Susilla’s grandmother who shared her gastronomic wisdom with her grandson. The guide also highlights the wide variety of typically Mediterranean products that are used to create their dishes, in which fish stands out at the principal component, caught in the bay of Xàbia by the Garreta family and which, according to the guide, “is prepared following the Japanese ike jime technique”.

Restaurante Tula is located in Avendia de la Libertat in the Arenal beach zone, and has become a gastronomic benchmark, praised by the main restaurant guides, the critics, and the public.

In Dénia, Bruno Ruiz’s Restaurante Aticcook restaurant has also been recognised by the Guía Repsol, awarded a soingle Sol. Ruiz’s continuous interaction with diners is one of Aticcook’s main claims. But not only that, its quality lies in the constant reinterpretation of the traditional La Marina recipe book.
