Transfer within District
During the Open Enrollment period, residents of Campbell Union School District may request a transfer to another school WITHIN the District boundaries.
Apply Online during Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment for 2024-25 School Year:
Begins 8am on January 16, 2024
Ends 4pm on February 9, 2024
Submit your completed enrollment documents any day during this period.
Open Enrollment is for students entering Kindergarten and current elementary school 5th graders entering one of our grade 6-8 middle schools for 6th grade.
The District fills placement requests depending on available space and in compliance with California law and Governing Board policy BP5116.1. If there are more requests than space available, the District will conduct a Lottery to determine a Placement Waiting List. (Placement for inter-district students occurs only after all District residents have been placed.)
Transfer Into Our District
Students who live outside Campbell Union School District boundaries may attend one of our schools through an inter-district transfer agreement. The process begins with the district that serves the student's home address.

Quoted from AR 5117 Interdistrict Attendance: Every interdistrict attendance permit shall stipulate the terms and conditions under which the permit may be revoked. (Education Code 46600)
Interdistrict transfers may occur when class enrollments in the district will permit the addition of nonresident students. Continuing interdistrict transfer students must reapply on a yearly basis to attend the following year. Notification of placement will be made prior to the end of each school year. Annual renewal shall take place in the spring of each school year allowing school site administrators an opportunity to review each applicant, attendance, any disruptions of the educational program, or failure to progress towards meeting district standards, prior to requesting interdistrict attendance renewals.
Parents then must follow through with their home district's inter-district transfer requirements.
