The Hungarian police have deployed a 29-strong unit to North Macedonia on Tuesday, to aid border protection efforts in the country. The unit will work under the command of local law enforcement, patrolling the border to prevent and investigate illegal entries, and arrest people smugglers and illegal migrants. The Hungarian officers will use their own equipment.
