Join us for our annual CASA Liberty Bell Gala on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024! Enjoy an evening filled with wonderful people, live music, delicious food, and a silent auction, all while we recognize some outstanding advocates for children within our own community. Multiple honorees and several CASA volunteers will be recognized for their outstanding work. Your attendance at this year's gala will help us in our effort to strengthen and celebrate child advocacy in Philadelphia.

On Wednesday, May 8th, we will be honoring some of our most outstanding community partners and volunteers who have demonstrated excellence in child advocacy for Philadelphia's most vulnerable youth.
Champion for Children
Frank P. Cervone, Esq.
Former Executive Director of the support center for child advocates
For more than 31 years, Frank served as the Executive Director of the Support Center for Child Advocates, where he led a staff and volunteers who advocated for victims of child abuse and neglect with the goal of securing safety, justice, well-being and a permanent, nurturing environment for every child.

STOP IPV Team
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

STOP IPV is a multi-component, collaborative program, supported by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Lutheran Settlement House (LSH) and Laurel House (LH). STOP IPV is designed to address intimate partner violence and teen dating violence, while also considering the impact of child abuse and community violence on individuals and families.
Outstanding CASA Volunteer
Jamie Nisbet
Director of Undergraduate Marketing at Villanova University
 Jamie has had the opportunity to connect with and serve the community as a CASA Volunteer since 2021.  Jamie has served as CASA for the same sibling group of three young boys since she completed training in April of 2021. She has stood by the boys through many changes in placement – and stood by CASA through several changes in Supervisors – and provided the kind of advocacy that exemplifies the CASA role.
Outstanding EDM Volunteer
Sophie Ragan
Speech-Language Pathologist, Nemours Children's Hospital
Sophie has been an EDM volunteer with CASA since 2022 advocating for a child with multiple educational needs and worked to ensure that he received complete educational services in the face of numerous foster placements.

Cocktail Hour
Join us for cocktail hour that will include delicious appetizer stations, including a raw bar, as well as a variety of passed hors d'oeuvres.  We also will have an open bar serving wine, beer and champagne.  Our silent auction will take place during this time, which will include some must-have items! Live music will be provided by Joshua Gittelman (viola and piano).

Dinner and Program
Following cocktail hour, we will have a seated two-course dinner including a salad and your choice of entree to order tableside.  During dinner, we will recognize our honorees for outstanding child advocacy and CASA volunteers.  After dinner, join us for coffee and tea and a gourmet dessert display.
