How To Apply
The Digital Future Program aims to support up to 500 women-owned businesses to optimize their social media channels, websites, and e-commerce platforms.
We have now closed applications for the Jacaranda group (social media optimization) and trained over 350 female entrepreneurs in social media best practices and growing their brands online. We are currently taking applications for businesses looking to optimize their websites and e-commerce sites to become active lead-generation and branding platforms.
The 4-week training will help business owners learn how to drive traffic and generate sales leads for their websites and e-commerce sites. They will also receive Google Ads credits to support their marketing initiatives for their websites. Get more information on whether you are suitable for non-ecommerce (Bamboo) or the E-commerce (Eucalyptus) below:
Bamboo
Bamboo group (non-ecommerce), targets 100 women-owned small businesses that are service-based, that is, sells an intangible service that consumers need, such as plumbing or consulting. The applicant should have an existing website built on WordPress, if uncertain, kindly confirm with the developer.
Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus group (E-commerce), targets 100 women-owned businesses that sell tangible or physical products and already have an existing website built on WordPress, if uncertain, kindly confirm with the developer.

CONFIRM ELIGIBILITY
Before you begin, ensure your business meets the eligibility criteria, to be considered for the program. Have the relevant documents ready to attach.

SUBMIT APPLICATION
Once you submit your application, your application will be reviewed by our panel, and if accepted into the program, you can expect to hear back in 2-3 weeks.

TRAINING AND SUPPORT
Each selected business will receive Digital Skills Training and Sponsored Google Ads Credits towards their business and support from the WomenWork team experts. The sooner you apply the better!

Are You Eligible?

Are you a Kenyan Female Entrepreneur?
The program is open to Kenyan female entrepreneurs who own at least 50% of their business. During the application process, you'll be required to submit proof that you are a Kenyan by uploading your national ID or Passport.

Are you between 20-50 years old?
The program primarily targets youth as we are aiming to support young female entrepreneurs. If you do not fall within this age group, unfortunately you are not eligible for the program.

Is your business atleast 6 months old?
To be eligible for the program, you need to have been running your business for a minimum of six months. You will be required to submit proof of business and this can either be your business registration certficate, business permit/business name or your business social media pages.

Do you have an annual turn-over of less than 5 million?
The program is open to small businesses that have an annual turn-over of less than Ksh5 million.

What happens to the data I submit in my application?
Any information you provide in your application is treated as private and confidential data. The details of your business will not be shared with any other parties and will be used to evaluate if you are a good fit for the program.

I'd like to submit an application for a different tier. Should I apply anyway?
We're collecting applications for businesses looking to set up or grow their social media presence. However, if you're interested in our other groups (website optimisation and e-commerce optimisation), you can submit an application and we will get in touch with you as soon as applications for these groups opens.
