Events Where the fun doesn’t stop!
Swimming for Eggs 1-12 years Do you have a child who would love to hunt for eggs in the pool? This is the PERFECT event for them! Join us for an egg hunt in the Rakow Center Indoor Pool. Bags will be supplied to put the “scooped up” eggs. Check-in 15-minutes before the event begins. The event will start promptly. Your child should be poolside, wearing swimming attire, and ready to go.

Sat Live! Grades 2-7 PARENTS: need a night out? Sign the kids up for Sat Live. Activities offered: swimming, sports, main activity, game room, gaga ball, concessions* and drop-in craft activities each week. There is something for everyone! Preregistration is required. Registration closes at 4:00 pm on the day of the event (Only online registration is available between 12:00-4:00 pm on the day of) . An adult must sign-in and sign-out child. Please be prepared to show an ID. *Pizza, candy, chips and drinks are available for an additional charge.
Egg Hunt 2-8 years Get ready for an egg-citing hunt at Randall Oaks Recreation Center’s outdoor fields! Join us for some spring fun, just remem ber, space is limited, so preregistration is required. Please arrive 10 minutes early for check-in , as hunts will start on time. If it rains, the hunt will move inside Randall Oaks Recreation Center.

Flashlight Egg Hunt 9-14 years Join us for an exciting nighttime egg and candy hunt! Bring a flashlight (with working batteries) and a bag to gather eggs. Find plastic eggs for candy and prizes, and if you discover the golden egg, you’ll win the big prize! Stick around afterward for S’mores by the bonfire. Step out into nature and into a story this spring. A StoryWalk® trans forms the pages of a children’s storybook into signs placed sequentially along the walking path at two of
our parks. Please share your photos on social media with the hashtag #DTPDStoryWalk and tag us. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson. Bunny Day • Sunday, April 6 Capture a photo with the Easter Bunny! The zoo is open from 9:00 am-5:00 pm, and the Bunny will be visiting between 9:30 am-12:00 pm and 1:00-4:00 pm. Enjoy a scenic hayride through the park and join in on some fun spring games. Party for the Planet! Saturday, April 26 Have fun tossing the GIANT earth ball, challenge yourself with the Garbage Game, take home native wildflower seeds for pollinators, sample cookies made with sustainable protein, and enjoy visiting the animals. All activities are included with zoo admission.
Friendship, Yoga & Wine 21 years & older* Come celebrate Spring with an evening of Friendship, Yoga and Wine! The evening begins with a time of gathering while enjoying a com plimentary glass of wine; a cash bar also available. The class follows, offering a variety of Yoga styles! Beginners to advanced are welcome! Gathering time: 6:00-7:00 pm (no drinks served after 7:00 pm). Class time: 7:00 8:00 pm. All participants must register in person at the Randall Oaks Recreation Center or Rakow Center prior to attending this event. No online registration will be accepted. Refund Policy If a program is canceled for any reason, a full refund will be issued to each participant. All other refunds are subject to a $5 service charge. To request a refund for any other reason, please complete the Refund/Transfer Request Form available at the Rakow Center or Randall Oaks Recreation Center Guest Service desks or download at https://www. dtpd.org registration-information/. You may mail, drop off or email this form to a Guest Services Manager at guestservices@dtpd.org. • If you are not satisfied with the quality of a program, you must attend two class sessions and fill out the Refund/Transfer Request Form prior to the third class meeting. A full refund will then be given. Your input on this form will help us identify where improvement is needed. • If you are not able to participate in a program due to medical reasons, please submit a doctor’s note along with the Refund/Transfer Request Form. If class has already started, a refund may be prorated. At least half of the program/activity must remain to be eligible to receive a refund. • All other refunds must be submitted one week prior to the start of the program. • Direct individual expenses incurred such as T-shirts, uniforms, costumes, etc. will be deducted from refunds. If a refund is approved, a receipt will be emailed to the household after processing. We reserve the right to issue a refund in the form of household credit. If a refund is approved for returned payment: • Original payment by cash or check will receive a refund in the form of a check. • Original payment paid by credit/debit card will receive credit on the card with which payment was made, when possible. Submission of a Refund Request Form does not guarantee a refund. All refund requests are subject to review and approval by the program supervisor. To become a RAP participant, please complete a confidential application (available in Spanish and English) that is available at the Rakow & Randall Oaks Recreation Centers, and can be downloaded at www.dtpd.org/ registration-information. Discovery Day Camp Grades K-1 ^ Designed especially for young campers, Discovery Day Camp introduces younger elementary school-aged children to the camp experience. With themed activities tailored to this age group, children will explore, learn, play and make new friends! Camp meets rain or shine. Campers should bring their own lunch and refillable water bottle each day. Drop off is downstairs in the preschool room for Rakow Center location.
