For fun I sometimes play the guitar...

Becoming a social org IS the future and here’s why… In the last 12 months over half a billion people have joined the various social networks so everyone you want to talk to is now there. In the same way that you don’t download brochures or open sales emails or answer cold calls neither do your customers. They did…but that was then and THIS is now. Now, all your customers are on social engaging with people and brands that they like, asking questions, having conversations, sharing ideas, leaning and discovering. But becoming a social org is so much more than simply social selling. Becoming a social org is when you realise that every human to human interaction can be efficiently handled by mobilising social media. To do this though requires a wholesale change in how you view social channels. Social channels are NOT another broadcast medium, they are a conversation medium. When organisations get this they are much more able to leverage the dynamics of the social world. People buy people…when you genuinely believe this you have a massive advantage. Yesterday, I posted about my new starter pack from Cyberhawk. They are the perfect example of a company that is “living the social dream.” They began working with Eric and not only did they see such success it also captured their imagination. They recognised that social media is they key to putting them in front of their clients, prospects and markets and that this wasn’t a job for marketing…but a job for EVERYONE because they saw that this wouldn’t just generate revenue it would generate share of voice, hiring opportunities, and reduced costs it would also bind the team more closely together particularly in the world of covid. Chris Fleming, CEO of Cyberhawk said “If you are leading a company in 2020 you are actually running two companies. The first is the one you will recognise as your day job but the second is a media company.” He said this because he saw that their market dominance would come from everyone in the business being “social” rather than just the sales and marketing teams. They are an innovative company, doing innovative things, with innovative people using innovative tools. But more importantly they think innovatively.  Their behaviour is the blueprint for businesses in the future. #socialorg #socialmediastrategy #socialselling #socialmediamarketing

Agreed With the guidance, vision and support from this platform, we are taking our small family business social. I believe that this will future proof our business and also add significant value. I experienced the power of social yesterday. I reached out to my community for guidance. What I got back was the reassurance that something that I felt was wrong was wrong. Not only did it put my mind to rest many of the comments will help to shape policy. Where else do you find that sort of power 💪💪

This is the way. Content at scale to create conversations that spark interest and insight and that turn inevitably into commercial interaction (I think I’ve been hanging out with Eric too much 😂) Adam

I love the point you made Adam Gray that social media captured Cyberhawk’s imagination. It sounds like there is a positive team motivation/energy element to being social too.
