On Thursday 7th July 2022 the Department of Music at the University of York is hosting a one-day in-person networking and knowledge exchange event entitled ‘Visual health in the Performing Arts’ in collaboration with the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM) and Allegro Optical. This event will bring together performing artists, clinicians, medical device manufacturers, and organisations involved in promoting performing artists' health and wellness to facilitate network development, identify topics for research and education, review risks to performing artists and identify care pathways, and enhance the effectiveness of clinical practice.
On the day, registration will start at 09:30 and the event will conclude at 16:00 after a selection of presentations, panel sessions, and networking opportunities. Funding for this event has been provided by the University of York Place and Community Fund so attendance is free and we are able to provide refreshments at breaktime and food at lunchtime.
If you would like to register for this event please complete the full registration form below and direct any questions to
naomi.norton@york.ac.uk. We have a limited number of tickets for this event and are seeking to ensure a balance of perspectives and expertise among those attending so we have capped the number of tickets for each 'category' of delegate. Tickets for each type of delegate will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis but there will be a waiting list and we do ask that if your plans change and you are no longer able to attend that you let us know as soon as possible by emailing
naomi.norton@york.ac.uk.
If you are unable to attend the event in-person on Thursday 7th July 2022 but are interested in visual health in the performing arts and would like to be updated on outcomes of the event, future plans, and other opportunities relating to this topic please ONLY complete the final question and then click 'Submit'. Please note that your contact details will only be used as stated and will not be shared with any third parties.
