I have good news!! The Pat McGrath Mothership VII Divine Rose Palette is set to relaunch in the UK really soon. In case you missed out, here’s my review and swatches.
Divine Rose shares the same layout as all the Mothership palettes, with six pressed, powder shadows and four baked shades. It is stunning!
- Skinshow Nude – champagne platinum (previously in Mothership I Subliminal Palette*)
- Velouria – taupe rose matte
- Sable Bronze – luminous bronzed brown
- Refined Gold 002 – gleaming golden platinum
- Iridescent Pink 003 – opalescent pale rose (highlighter shade from Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio*)
- Xtreme Mahogany – rich mahogany matte
- Love Lace – luminous pink bronze
- Rose Dusk – mid-tone rose satin (previously in Mothership II Sublime Palette*)
- VR Rose Venus – golden rose duochrome
- Astral Solstice – glittering platinum (previously in Mothership VI Midnight Sun Palette*)
As you’d expect from Pat, the quality of the shadows is stunning and this palette is a real pleasure to swatch and use.
Pat McGrath Mothership VII Divine Rose Palette Swatches
I loved doing these swatches. There is something immensely satisfying with painting my arm with such a gorgeously smooth and blendable formulation. It almost makes my mouth water. OK it actually does!!
Top row – Skinshow Nude, Velouria, Sable Bronze, Refined Gold 002, Iridescent Pink 003:
Bottom row – Xtreme Mahogany, Love Lace, Rose Dusk, VR Rose Venus, Astral Solstice:
I absolutely love this shade range and they all work so beautifully together, so you don’t need any skill to design a look (thank heavens!). The colour payoff is excellent and each shade is vibrant and vivid.
Velouria is absolutely beautiful and such a wonderful, smooth matte texture. It’s a great crease shade and Xtreme Mahogany is perfect for deepening it up and adding tonnes of dimension.
The shimmering shades are easily applied with fingertips, and they smooth on and don’t fall out. The iridescent, shimmering shades are amazing for highlighting the brow bone and inner corner. They are so pretty.
It really is an absolutely stunning palette. I am obsessed!
