If a road you frequently use is closed today due to flooding, it's most likely going to remain closed through the weekend and into next week.

This will put a pressure on alternative routes which will be even busier than this week when schools go back after half-term on Monday.

The county council provides a list of roads which have been closed or affected by flooding in the wake of Storm Dennis last weekend, which came hot on the heels of Storm Ciara the weekend before.

Today it said it was not expecting river levels in the county to drop in the next few days.

THIS IS A STORY FROM THURSDAY. FOR LATEST ROAD CLOSURES AS ON FRIDAY VISIT THIS STORY
