An Enchanting 'Village Of Light' Illuminates East London This Weekend

An east London neighbourhood transforms into a dazzling 'village of light' on Saturday night.

Theatre of Light livens up East Village E20, next to Stratford's Olympic Park, with lights, sound and all kinds of kinetic wonderment. The one-night only event brings performers to the area, posing as ballerinas, stilt walkers, birds and bunnies, all illuminated with dazzling LEDs.

A drumming and light performance is the culmination of the evening, headlined by percussion band, Box Drumline. Head to Belvedere Park on Victory Parade at 7.50pm to see them in action.

Elsewhere, there's free UV face painting for anyone who wants to get involved, and free churros with chocolate sauce for the first 150 visitors to arrive. Don't worry if you're late though — plenty of other stalls sell food and drink through the evening.

Theatre of Light, Saturday 2 November, 6.30pm-8.30pm. Entry is free, and it's at East Village E20 in Stratford.
